Blitz throttle controller?!?!?!

Anyone ever heard of this? Will this help quarter mile or raise the top speed? Its Blitz so i dont think its bs.... no more lag when the light turns green

"Hate the way your drive-by-wire throttle seems to leave you stranded on the line? Blitz developed their Throttle Controller to solve this problem! The Blitz Throttle Controller offers vehicle specific kits for many popular cars that are plagued by a laggy drive-by-wire throttle set up. The Blitz Throttle Controller makles your car more fun by improving throttle response and giving you the ability to use 100% full throttle of (many drive-by-wire cars are limited to 90-95% from the factory). You will not gain horsepower, but you will be able to use all the power that the engine is capable of delivering (some tuners have gotten as much as a 10% increase in top end power by being able to give 100% throttle).

While installation will require some wiring, the Blitz Throttle Controller is pre-programmed with four throttle response maps ("ECO" for better fuel economy; "SP1," "SP2," & "SP3" for incrementally increased throttle response) specific to your car, to provide you with your desired level of acceleration response that are changeable at the push of a button.

Blitz has built in a safety feature that automatically resets the Throttle Controller to your cars default throttle map every time the engine is turned off. It then requires that you manually turn the Blitz Throttle Controller on every time you fire the engine back up. The chart at the left shows the OEM throttle map (red), the improved "SP2" map (blue), and what a traditional direct (cable) throttle map would look like (black).

An optional safety feature for the Blitz Throttle Controller is Blitz's Reverse Cancel Harness (must be purchased separately). This safety harness automatically sets the Throttle Controller to your vehicle's stock throttle map when reverse is engaged and then resumes your specified map once you are back into a forward gear. "

Its $359 shipped..... very interesting.
Well i want to get some feed back if anyone has it or knows someone. Is the ride really better?

All it does is modify the electrical signal given out by the throttle sensor. There is another one of these that has been discussed numerous times. Only difference is that this one is adjustable.

Things like this will improve your throttle response. It does not improve HP just improves the signal given from your petal to your car. R/C cars have had things like this built into controllers for years.

id like better throttle response.... who cares if it doesnt give you more power... you cant use 10% of th epower you have from a start anyways... i think the car only lets you have half throttle till like 10-15 mph anyways....

I'd like it... it seems like I can mash the pedal and let go before the throttle kicks in.

Basically the same as the "servo exponential" function on r/c radios.

Futaba's definition.
Exponential Rate: Offers servo travel that is not directly proportional to stick travel.

Just makes it seem faster by letting you get full throttle from pressing the trigger (in this case, pedal) half way (or w/e you set it to)

Looking at the first graph of the stock signal manipulation, I think I would just set it to a "wired" throttle signal. Meaning when my foot is pressed 50%, I want the throttle opened 50%.

Throttle signal modification makes sense for drivers who can't modulate the gas pedal.

yea, I was wondering if this actually decreases the "reaction time" of the throttle, or just has it open wider at with less pedal?

I don't think the throttle body reacts any faster, it just is opens more at a given foot position with that blitz throttle controller.
