? bout how much header adds in real world

ok here is list of buddies si
four door with light weight 20's
vibrant exhuast
vibrant header wit hi flow cat
injen cai
p2r tb

mine is two door 17's fno1rc i think from 5zigen light as hell
fujita sri
helix tb spacer
skunk 2 70 mm

we both drive bout same i get him on take off most time and then third gear he passes me like im standing still lol i ordered another gasket from p2r for my helix just in case stock gasket wasnt holding does header really add tht much diff hard to thinkit would

The reason you are getting him from a dig is because he has more rotational mass to accelerate. Heavier wheels = slower take offs. Isn't "lightweight" 20's an oxymoron?

The reason he is pulling on you like you are standing still is because he is really in his powerband with the header.

naw cause when u think 20's u think crazy heavy just like the mugen gp weigh less than our stock 17's and they are 18 inch tires is what i mean to say and i knew it would give gains but wow def good waitin on skunk2 new header lol

i just fig with me having two doow light wheels and smaller wheels i would get him ...i did have my g/f in car wit me she isnt heavy but another 140 lbs does add weight. i had thout to tht my exhuast being so large i may have lost power cause when i had just an intake and he had intake and exhuast i would stay head light to head light

to answer your question, anywhere from 5 to maybe 12 hp. lighweight 20's = no no.... 20's on our car = no no period.

yeah yeah i know its not most peoples style but the fact is his four door wit baller twenties is whoopin my jdm style two door with only one extra mod so he is doin sumthin right lol

You need to do some more reading on these forums and learn about the 8th gen si's. Alot about cars in general :/

Every 13 pounds that guy said we shed, is 1 hp. So 60 pounds would be 4-5 hp roughly. Not to much of a difference, but it is present.

Almost done with June really lol. In short, a good header will make a huge diff. Your buddies 20s are killing him in the launch but I say do what you want. For real performance on something the size of a Si you should use 17-18. If someone really knows what they are doing they could destroy your buddy with fewer mods.
