Cams?
I am really thinking of getting cams soon (30 to 60 days) does anyone have information that would help me decide which set to get? Or which set it right for my setup so far. I am planning on getting a turbo in a few years but I want that extra power now. So I am thinking of getting a stage 1 set but can't decide on which company to got with.

One of the guys from here in Minnesota got some TSX cams. After installing them, he was quite disappointed. He offered to sell them to me. He plans on getting Skunk2 Stage 2 cams.
I have given serious consideration to Brian Crower cams. They require different springs and retainers. One of the nice things about the TSX cams is that they are a drop in. You don't need to change the valve springs or retainers. I probably would go with IPS cams, but I heard they stopped making them. Can someone verify this?

Ok I looked them up (Google is my friend) I see they make the cams for RSX-S not sure about the k20z3 though. I say that because it was developed with the k-pro installed. Since that is not a option I am not sure about that. I also know that most of the cams suggest that you run a different springs and retainers. I thought about the skunk2 stage1 cams but not sure about them yet. I think I heard someone say they were crap so it is making me rethink my decision. So the ones I have heard about are:
1) Greddy 2) Buddy Club 3) Skunk2 4) Brain Crower 5) Toda 6) IPS Cams - thanks to NitrousG35 7) TSX Cams So now I am thinking of a stage1 set because I don't want to get too aggressive and I don't want to have to replace all my internals yet. Plus without a real tunning option out for our cars I think the stage2 + set would be too much for the engine. |

I do understand lift and duration, but not every company was made equal. And for someone that has not installed this before means I have a lot of research to do before I make a final decision on what to get and if I am going to install them or am I going to pay someone to install them.

![]() ya I didnt even check! I'm a noob, you do have a good amount of stuff =). I see you have new spark plugs, etc now all you need is to upgrade your fuel system and you are ready for BOOST! But I would at this time probably go brian cower cams personally if I were to upgrade. |
