Just check our vendors... Most of them should have them selling for less... if not... see if there is anyone selling used ones...

Any place you suggest looking for the HFP? I like the quasi-stock aspect of it.
why the **** did you downgrade from an e46 to a civic LX!?!?!?!
there isnt really a quiet exhaust beacuse any aftermarket exhaust has bigger piping that stock its just the muffler that makes it quieter

If you put the silencer on the cat-backs it will do what to sound and hp gains?

well if it comes with a silencer does that mean it is really loud? What is the purpose with an exhaust coming with a silencer?

the silencer is for quieting down exhausts on both the high and low frequencies. these are commonly seen in some very loud exhaust for some added DD comfort. yes the will minimize some hp. louder=free flowing=more HP (USUALY not on everything or every situation).

as to the OP. i will always suggest the EVO 2 for its great sound, hp gains, looks, and ability to be driven with in a DD. if you are at all concerned about the sound this is the way to go for sure. it gets loud when it needs to but keeps a nice deep tone with none of the rasp.

most of the power from I/H/E modifications are largely felt in the throttle response (si, not so sure about others)

if it comes with a silncer then that means its louder then legal. 95db is loudest you can have. so the exhaust company is going to provide you with a silencer if their exhaust is over 95db

If I decided to keep the silencer off any tips to do so that won't get a fine? What is the fine like? Is it the loudest if i floor it or something? How about downshifting louder? Thanks for all help.

It's a long story. Basically the E46 was a third car and the wife found a new horse, so some maneuvering was done. We carpool twice a week and drive the Civic on weekends, so I just feel inclined to do little things to it.

That said, it's a great little car and my only regret is not buying the si. It's actually a big regret. I'm sort of thinking about getting rid of my 4Runner and buying an Accord coupe. Decisions decisions.

If you're gonna keep it stock, just switch to the Si Muffler to make your car look better. If you want a better stock sound, go with HFP. Problem is that it cost as much as a catback so if you want HFP try to find someone on the forum with it. Other than that, go with Magnaflow. It is quiet and it has a deep growl and it looks great. You wont regret it.

I like the look of the WS2,just don't like the fact that the piping is not stainless.Even if it is coated, most exhausts rust from the inside out.
