Lol if you're on a tight budget, rather than putting money into the car, just use that to get a higher trim level.

Mods you can always add on later with time. You're going to be buying a depreciating asset anyway so don't be in a rush to drain your pockets more than you already are.

For instance, my car is more or less stock and I don't really want to put anything into it. Why? Because of the ridiculous Canadian price tag and I probably won't even keep for another 4 years.

IMHO, in business sense, Honda makes a good move. Honda doesn't want to kill each other between US and Canadian Honda but they support each other and the sales is still going. Of course, this does not benefit the market such as you and me.

I don't know about BMW but Toyota has reduced their price tag to compensate people from buying from the US Toyota. In fact, Honda is still the biggest threat for Toyota and other brands.

DA, you're right. Personally, I prefer to get a higher trim rather than get mods on a lower trim if I can purchase one. It gives you a peace of mind and personal pleasure. But I just cannot resist myself from buying stuff for my car. LOL... So far, I've done everything that I would do again if I have another car. Just basics

or buy a higher trim, like the SI, and still mod it

Don't listen to this evil!!! LOL.... He has a tight budget, he said.... Well, if I were him, I might consider 06 Si or 07 EX Sedan maybe, rather than buy new unless I get a very good deal.

where you register your car should have nothing to do with the warranty - i could see Honda US getting sued for this one
It's stated on Honda Canada's website

And I got my Si for 30K out the door. Shop around.

Just find a used EX... it'll be worth the few extra dollars and have much better resale. I mean honestly, if you were shopping around for a used car, would you buy one that has no sunroof, or rear drum brakes? *shudder*

I wouldn't worry about getting an EX-L. Honda/Acura leather is pretty much crap. It's not nice, supple and long lasting like German car leather.

There you go. Case closed.
