Advance, G5, or AJ

So I got some "stuff" that needs to be installed. Where should I go? The only experience I had is with Advance and I love them but Coquitlam is just too far away. As for G5, I heard they give good price... As for A&J... too expensive.

I have a co-worker who loves A&J but had bad experiences with G5. In the Revscene forum, a lot of people vouched for G5 instead of A&J.

Any opinions?

what stuffs?? are u keeping t3h secrets m0ds from us?
i've dealt with G5 and AJ, i personally do not like ajr whatsoever besides their merchandise, G5 and Nmotion seem to be honest guys who give good prices.
I think G5 does more stuff than Nmotion tho

i would vouch for G5 for quick and good service all around..Advance is great too but like you said coquitlam is a far ways from richmond

hmm g5 is charging me 290 and advance 240...

ping got his done at 220 at g5.. wtf?!

i might just install it myself with a co-worker when i'm back from edmonton

Always had good service from G5. Tell them advance is going to do it for $240 and see if they will match it.

regarding the installation..
just keep going to one shop
and you are going to get the best price possible & good job with responsiblity.

I haven't been in vancouver in awhile but what ever happened to that import shop besides automind on bridgeport? I wrote an article for Sport Compact regarding their green drag-ready DC2.

^^ kinda. Let me tell you everything that went wrong..

If you guys know or don't know, I got a suspension system and I decided to tackle this with my co-worker..

-I forgot to take any before pics.
-I also forgot to replace the batteries on my camera so no DIY pics.
-Car battery was totally drained b/c I forgot that I left the heated seats on. Had to go buy jumper cables.
-My co-worker broke a sound deadening clip.
-We weren't able to install the front and rear camber kits. SPCs are very hard to install IMO without a lift. Skunk2 (which I don't have) looks very easy to install since it looks similar to stock camber.
-We were not able to remove the rear springs and we can't figured out why. The arms won't drop enough for us to remove it unless the spring is compressed.

So basically, fronts are done, rear shocks are installed except the springs so most of the hard work is done. I'm going to get the shop to install the rear springs and the camber kits.

Hm, here's a trick for the rear springs. I had the same problem, but eventually got the springs out using a long bar. Forced the arms down with a little leverage.

Btw, did your spring pop out when you forced the arm down?

Didn't really pop out. I had someone have a hold on the spring while I forced the arm down, pulled out the spring as soon as enough load was off it.
