nice, haven't seen yours yet but i've seen a rally red in burnaby, a black one at maple ridge, and a hab red in van. Saw a black ex with nice rims near lougheed mall

wow, lots of questions!

1. i've seen other Si's in vancouver. there's a galaxy grey parked on east 41st ave before Knight (heading east). i pass by this one everyday to work. and i've seen a stock black one along south cambie.

2. only a few planned mods to my car. tint definitely, and HIDs too. so far that's it. this is the first car that i want to mod! i drove a 95 Pathfinder previously!

3. got my car from Vancouver Honda on Marine Drive. i put a deposit at Burrard Honda and Vancouver Honda, but Burrard had a rallye red, so i declined and got a refund. a week later, i got my Si from Vancouver Honda @ $100 off MSRP and rubber floor mats.

just washed/waxed my car and it looks spectacular! took forever tho...

happy cruisin!

cool... i really want tint. what % did you get? how come you didn't put any on the fronts? it's not illegal in vancouver, is it? lol... i'm planning on using a very light grade... only 10-15% all around. i just want the privacy, i don't need it to look gangsta.

as for HIDs, i'm getting no more than 7500K bulbs. above that, i think they're too purple for my liking. i want white light, not purple. my friend's friend's friend (lol) is getting some for cad$350-400 for a complete set - bulbs, ballasts, wiring, etc. i dunno what brand either, but i'm told they're good quality. i have no idea how to install them tho, so i will have someone put them on. i think by mid-june they should be installed, once i get my finances back on track! hahaha... spent too much already!

gimme the contact info for your tint guy. i'll check him out. maybe i'll contact you too, so we can have a mini-meet! hahaha 2 cars is barely a meet... but whatevs!

I live in Vancouver, just don't have an SI . I never learned to drive standard. So far I have sunroof visor and fogs installed, going to get my gurl tinted the end of the month and currently waiting on a few shipments of mods i bought.

list your mods, Sleepy.

manual >> auto

it's not as hard as you think. driving the Si for 1 month now, and stickshift is like second nature to me now. i would never go back to auto after this!!! see you on the streets of vancouver!

yeah... the *concept* is easy to learn, but actually shifting smoothly through all the gears takes a bit of patience.
downshifting a still a mystery to me tho my brother, on the other hand, can heel-toe my car, and the shifts are suuuuper smooth. i was like it's almost as smooth as an auto if you do it right.

well since i can not drive standard, I know if i learn i will trade in my Ex coupe auto for that slick looking SI.

Most of my mods done or planned is body styling.

Sunroof visor installed
Foglights installed
lamin X front and back lights...awaiting arrival will be installed this weekend.
Vent visors on order should be here next week.
windows to be tinted the end of the month
18" rims to be installed when i can find more cash.

oh and a custom car seat cover for my monster dog for back seat.

As for engine mods, nothing planned as of yet. I love coming across other 8th gen civics i always wave and get funny looks in return.

well, it's up to you man. I didnt know how to drive standard before. i took lesson for 1.5 hours at johnston drivng school, cost like 85 bucks and i learn to drive standard, within 15 minutes the teacher told me to hit the hwy . it was easy.. i was gonna get an ex too cause i dont know how to drive standard, but i really do want si cause it's got more power.. the price of ex and si is not that much of a difference.. i love the new si, and it's fun to drive standard
