Ways for me to take out a loan?

So basically I'm interested in trying to get my bartenders license something I've been wanting to do for a while bur never fit serious about it until now. So there's a class I can take that's about $500 my visa's maxed at $500 and I haven't paid it off due to the fact that I haven't had a job and my plan was to pay it off in aug but then lost my job.

I'm curious as to what are some other ways I could get $500, my parents arnt really an option.............. I tryed going to cibc but they told me I don't qualify, then I tryed increasing my credit limit but that's not an option seeing as my credit is messed up right now. I'm going to try and go to TD bc I bank there aswell and see what they tell me. Another thing this guy from cibc said on the phone was to get the government to lend it to me threw this thing I forgot what it was called he also suggested opening another visa card. Anyone know some other ways?

take it from a guy that's deep in debt, SAVE UP FOR IT CASH! if you keep credit hunting as you are it will just hurt your credit score making life more difficult later, pay off your visa balance, don't touch it again and save up cash! be patient, its far better in the long run.

LOL! i 100% agreee! credit card will just make you go deeper in debt! too late for me though! haha Just get a permanent full time job and wait for a few months til u apply for an increase.. the bank has to see that you are stable in your job before doing an increase in your credit card... so i would say after 6-9months on your new job then try again.. The easiest way to get a loan from the bank is they should know you have a full time job that is permanent and stable cause they will have assurance that you will be able to pay part of your debt or even the minimum amount...the bank likes to earn interest on our debts so just try to pay on time and try to pay more than the minimum amount .. that would help increase your credit rating score...Also once you are stable in your new job.. i would suggest to apply for a LINE OF CREDIT cause the interest is way lower than the normal credit card

thats right, I have been where I am at for 5 years, ever since I graduated and I am approved for a 60g loan on top of my car and line of credit, the banks love it when you have a solid working history cause they know you will be tempted to blow money like its nothing. But trust me its not worth the stresses of debt to have things that don't truly matter. SAVE UP CASH!

I always told myself if I don't have the cash in the bank to pay for it then I'm not getting it, credit card was never an option! I only got one because I go to the US too much & don't want to carry tons of cash, to get airmiles, & earn good credit. Always pay off the balance in full each month & you'll keep yourself from getting into trouble and perhaps when you need money for say a mortgage the banks will give you more then you could have hoped for like they did with me, though I didn't want to take it all! haha!

Your best bet is to save your money, pay off your credit card first since your purchases will end up costing you 3-4 times what you orginally paid due to interest, then when you have the money saved for you course go take it. Be spendthrift for a month or two & you'll be amazed what you can save... even if thats just a start, you'll be way better off down the road! Budgeting helps too!

+2! Well with the tough economy its hard to keep a lot of cash in the bank.. especially if you have lots of stuff to pay already and also stuff that you want to buy! ohwell... i guess i just have to learn to be a saver asap and spend less!

I was just thinking that if I took out 500 completed the course hopefully find a job soon after then I'll be able to pay off everything so much sooner bc I'll have two jobs going.

@ the guy that said get another job, if I did that then got the bartending job I'd have 3 jobs and I'd have to quit one so I think it wouldn't be worth it
