Shipping cost is too high ... why ?!

I asked Kenneth (BattleEndless) before to tell me about the shipping costs of the mugen style front grill to mid east ( qatar ) ..

he answered that i will have to pay 70$ for shipping ONLY,so 300$ for the part including shipping .

i got the REAL mugen grill from one of the sponsers for the same price including shipping .

why the shipping costs is so high ? can someone explain it to me ?

i think that both of them use USPS ..

note:

im asking this cause i was going to order the skirts and front lip ..

actualy i think they would use canada post since the battle endless in canada

Here is a thought.

Arrange your own shipping. (although I know for our company we get discounts because of the volume of shipping we do on a daily basis)

You can always get ups to pick up an item that is at a place of business. Just call where you ordered your item from, tell them you are arranging shipping, ask them when it will be ready for pickup, call your shipping company, arrange pickup and delivery.

Some places do this, some don't. Most should since they all use the same shipping methods. It's the same for doing your own brokerage, you can arrange to use your own broker or do your own brokerage to save on some charges as well.

There are options, never hurts to ask who you are dealing with for options, the worst that can be said is sorry we can't accomodate that particular option, bit we can do this...

It goes for all merchants.

USPS is United States Parcel Service, Canadian businesses use Canada Post (A.K.A Purolator, yes they bought them, that is sooooo WRONG) Ups and other couriers.

Actually the middle east is consider international shipping and that's why the shipping cost is high, yeah Adrian you're right, you can arrange the shipping agent to come pick up!
