BE Front Sway Bar Demand

So I decided to make a poll to see how many people want a front sway bar. For the SI, it would be more beneficial to get a front rather than rear sway bar, says my mechanic. But nobody seems to make one. So I told BE to get on it, and Kenneth (Great guy) asked me if it was on high demand. So, lets find out. (?)mm (color options?) front sway bar, I vote yes. Maybe start talking about a thinner front sway bar, since the front is thick to begin with (about 28mm), maybe reducing mm would be more of an improvement on a FWD car?

Please proof read the pages of discussion before making a decision on the poll, the discussion is now decided to the poll of popular demand of a thinner front sway bar

What is you mechanic's logic? What other mods do you have? Have you upgraded your rear sway bar?

I dont feel like listing every single one of my mods. Yes I have a rear sway. He said, "does anyone make a front sway bar for your car? You would feel more of a difference in your specific car/model."

no need for it. i think a bigger one will give you more understeer i believe.

Whats an aftermarket back sway bar for then? Oversteer? If so then wouldnt having both balance eachother out?

The problem is like I said the front is already so thick so actually getting the bigger rear sway bar balances out the car. While upgrading both will gain you more rigidity but kind of negates the upgraded rear sway bars gains.

Im pretty sure the front sway is thicker that the Progess rear bar.

Now a rear strut bar would be nice since no one makes one.

If anything, I think a thinner front sway bar would be more beneficial for the Si's. Thicker sway in the rear, thinner in the front. That's why the Progress Rear Sway bar is so popular, it thickens the rear.

i wouldnt mind loosing a few mm.

taking out the sway or using an EX sway would upset the balance too much i think...

Some people actually run the track without a front sway bar to remove some understeer. So putting a bigger one doesn't really make any sense as all you'd be doing is inducing understeer.

You have to take into account things like springs rates and alignments, and how they affect your choice of front bar. As some people said, your car may benefit from a bigger, smaller, or no front bar.

Kinda sounds like to me that we need a thinner sway bar in the front. If its bigger than the progress sway bar, then thats alittle crazy. Atleast in my perspective and knowledge...

You will only create more understeer with a thicker FSB...

Thats why we are now arguing if a thinner than stock FSB will be more beneficial.
