Thumbs up REi lighting - HID

www.rei-lighting.com

Regular size and Slim size ballast

High Intensity Discharge lamps: REi’s HID uses a new, state of the art technology, the digital ballast. These are water resistant and will also last 30% longer than the conventional, analogue HID ballasts. The digital ballasts consist of a new chip technology that can regulate the intensity of the light, giving it a steady output throughout the life of the kit. Each kit includes a wiring harness that consists of 3 individual fuses and 1 relay. This wiring harness taps directly to the battery, thus creating a more stable flow of power to the ballast, decreasing the chance of a blown fuse, and eliminating the chance of melting the stock wiring harness. REI products come with a 1 year limited manufacturer defect warranty.

REi’s Kit comes with:
-2x HID ballasts
-2x HID bulbs
-Mounting brackets for the ballasts
-Wiring harness
-Relay and all the necessary fuses

Available colour temperatures (Kelvin)

$289.99 CDN (with Regular size digital ballast)

A few more q's...

So how does a "digital" ballast and how is it different than an "analoge" one?

And why does the company even make regular sized ones if its the same product in the small verison?

Not at all! I was very nervous about this at first but I saw right away the light doesn't enter the cabin due to the aim of the civic headlights. I know its okay, because I've had cops check me out, either doing random checks or for the HIDs and they didn't pull me over.

All in all an excellent job!
