You might want to read back where the person who designed this damper advised against using in it conjunction with spacers.

ra2ph, how much do you have to lift before the damper takes over? How stable does it feel when its open compared to stock?

the spacers do nothing with the hood bracket, there is no way they would interfere...all they do is prop the HOOD up, the bracket where the damper mounts would still be in the same place...the hood would just be higher which, if anything, would be better...

functional ? im not sure

it will fit for sure because it attaches to the hinge not to the hood like some.
but i personally wont recommend it because now the load is on 2 small area and the edges are square. If i were to design and mfg those i would just make one square block to have the same support as the stock hinge (larger area)

because when closing with hood dampers the edge of the hinge pushes against the hood and place a force but easily distributed by the hinge but with the standoffs its localized and may flex but im quite sure its ok
Lets now think about this. Would people rather take the advice of the person who designed and built the product.... or a person who has never used the product? If you wish me to further discredit your mechanical expertise I can do so. But I think I have proven my point to a great enough extent. However if you do wish to further this conversation feel free to message me.

most things will work together
I dont think anyone developing new toyz for our cars intentionally harm it. But as you all know there are no one size fits all product. Some works better than others and some causes issues. In this it will work "OK" for a steel hood due to a small contact patch but not recommended. I cannot comment on carbon hoods because there are significant difference in quality and design that its impossible to comment

So I ordered mine today directly from ixizconcept's site (I'm in Texas so BE wasn't an option). It should get here next week and I'll post a full review in the Inside and Out section.

BTW, you really should specify if you have a carbon fiber hood or not when ordering because the damper is adjusted accordingly by ixizconcept.
