stock street tires have the best traction at normal air pressure. start running them low and you will also loose some time at the end of the track. I dont remember how time is lost, but i read up on this and it made sence.
Those look like realy good times for th first time. I hope mine goes that good. |

Also you have to think half tank of gas is like 6 to 8 gallons of gas which weighs like 6 to 8 pounds each so if you drop that to 1/8 or less of tank then you are going to drop like 50 to 75 pounds of weight since we are on the topic of weight I would suggest taking out the spare and floor mats which you could reduce about another 50 pounds You should also think about or do some research about fuel and what octane you can use to achieve more HP for your setup Most tracks have race fuel which is 112 octane might want to think about a mixture or straight you could so test each of these theories since you will be at the track Another thing you can think about is the more air in the more air out the faster you can go(so if you delete the cat you should gain a good chunk of power and might break into the 14's) There are a lot of other things to think about when attempting to gain HP and making faster track speed |

just work on your 60ft. time. Definatly should be able to pull a 2.3 with stock tires. try lowering tire pressure to 20psi. Also try feathering the clutch when launching... it's faster to slip the clutch than to slip the tires.
once u hit that 2.3 60ft. there are the 14's. Took my friend 3 times going to the track to hit 14.9, it was all about the launch |
