24 hours of lemons

Ok I know it's not a civic race but if you like racing and happen to own an old piece of crap then you might be interested.

So I found out about this race called the 24 hours of lemons. Basically it's a parody of the 24 for hours of LeMans (you may have heard of it). The catch is that everyone in the field has to enter a car valued at no more than $500 (sound like fun yet?). So basically the whole point of the race is to drive your poor p.o.s. around a track for 24 hours without it dying. The winner gets $5000 in nickels. the hell..what if all cars survived 24hrs?....they all get the money or they split pot?....no car i can think of right now can last 24hrs on 1 tank of gas LOL...jp im assumin the onli time you stop and rest is for pumping gas? btw i wonder who determines the value of the cars...

The car that completes the most laps wins and gets the five grand (don't ask me how they keep track) and yes you make pit stops ( for gas and damage and stuff) and no you don't personally drive the full 24 hours, you have to have at least a 5 driver team.

SCC did this last year and I think they plan on doing it again this year. They finished 2nd or 3rd in a 90 Celica GT or something. Its a race around an oval, well at least the SF region is.
