Went to a GM event and raced driving wife's Pilot

Went to the GM Lonestar Bash at Little River Dragway in Temple, TX and ended up racing my wife's '06 Pilot (didn't bring my R18). There were mostly Cobalts and Cavaliers there, with a few sunfires and HHR's too.
I saw a guy racing with his wife's Caravan so figured what the hell?! and paid the $10.
This was my 1st time racing, here are my best times:

1/8 - 11.0088
65.93 mph (guy in the Cobalt beat me w/ 10.5786, 67.26 mph but he red-lighted)

1/8 - 11.0792
69.90 mph
It was pretty fun, those guys put a lot of work into their cars and have the same passion as us civic owners.

She knows, my daughter was there and got video evidence although not too good with the camera (see end of clip #3 above). hehe
If I took all of the seats and body panels out to reduce weight she'd be pissed!

My wife has a Pilot too. It pulls out pretty well for an almost 2-1/2 ton vehicle, and there is no loss of traction with AWD.

I have the front wheel drive with traction control and yes, it will beat my LX sedan for sure despite the extra steel, 3 rows of seats, and truck tires.
