wouldn't matter if i started in second i'd still win without power shifting and you'd be rapeing your tranny.

The only way I have successfully shifted w/o clutch is @ roughly 2.5kRPM. Yeah it can be done w/o harm but it does not seem practical by any means IMO unless you have a transmission for race purposes designed to do this.

not true. they teach you how to shift without using the clutch at racing schools. a guy i know spent a week at a driving school in Nevada and the instructor, at the sight of him using the clutch, said "you efing pussy havent you ever driven a synchronized gear box?" you just have to have the revs in the "sweet spot". It's extremely difficult to do if your doing laps around a track, but the pros do it.

Yes but unfortunately our Sweet Spot is located at roughly 2.5k RPM lol. WTF can my honda do that is worthwhile at 2.5kRPM?

i've had my hand on the shifter before around 7K and before i could jump on the clutch to shift it slid into the next gear (3 to 4), so there must be multiple sweet spots or it could be dependent on throttle, which gear you're in, etc.
