I/H/E/kpro Si Vs. Stg. 2 GTI

What are you guys running at the track with bolt-ons/tune?

How much power are you guys putting to the ground?

I ran a coupe that im pretty sure was stock, and it was pretty ugly...I know RSX-S are pretty quick with bolt ons and a tune, how do you guys stack up with the same mods?

Anyone in central florida looking for some friendly runs let me know.

No one would know since no one has kpro on an SI.

I/H/E + hondata reflash apparently nets high 13s, though.

most ppl are "untuned" unlike the RSX base platform, we can't use the Kpro configuration due to our MAF's on our ECU's. I'm waitin on the "kpro like" system to be developed. "Hydra" has one out now though.

Just w/ bolt ons, most ppl w/ the I/H/E are right around 200-210whp. The ones that are I/H/E/Pulleys/Clutch&Fly/ETD/ Reflash, well.... that's to be determined whenever I hit a dyno

what mods are on your GTI, stage 2 isn't very specific. i used to own a 1.8t and hit 14 flat, i know the 2.0t has more potential, making me afraid of 2.0t's.

nice, thanks for the replies guys.

I really like the new Si's. I would probably have one right now, but I was looking for a car back when Si's were hard to find and all the dealers near me were charging like 5k over msrp...I'm interested to see whats going to happen with them now that they've been out for a while.

MKV's are finally getting some good turbo/fueling options...

3" catless downpipe, K&N intake, APR Stage 2+ 93oct/100oct. ,PCV fix, engine mt. insert, NGK plugs, and a boost gauge. Im getting a custom cat-back soon.

People with similar mods are getting about 240/300 at the wheels.

I havent tracked it yet, but im hoping for mid 13's on race gas. All depends on my 60' really

Nope. Not Eric. I'm still urging him on to get his car chipped. You sound like him though. That (your first post) what he's been saying about SIs since I met him. One of these days, I wanna trade just to see the difference between my car and his.

That is really pathetic for the mods he has. 06's are generally a little slower, but people with only a downpipe, intake and chip are running faster than that on street tires.

Hold on...an average run for APR stg2 is 13.7@100-103mph.....but then after watching the video of a APR stg2 run a 13.9@101mph, you come and say that people with only a downpipe, intake and chip are running faster than that on street tires...? Are you trying to say that APR stg 2 is a waste of money since a GTI with only a intake/chip/down pipe run about the average of a stg2 according to you?
