GIAC was always the more aggressive chip back when i had my 1.8t. i still cruise over to vwvortex to check the comp and love the car lounge there. haha

the CAN system pretty much means that all the buttons and gauges and shit inside our cars . . . speedometer, tach, cabin lights, and all are controlled by the ecu so we cant just remove our ecu and replace it or simply get it chipped because then there is nothing controlling everything else so we would have no speedometer,steering,throttle (because of DBW) and it is just a huge mess and a PITA to find a happy medium with tuning but not messing hat stuff up in the process

But stage 2 = intake/downpipe/chip. It's misleading when non vdubbers say they're stage 2 cause it makes it sound like it's a lot, but it's really not. They're simply breather mods. You don't even need an intake to run a stage 2 reflash, just a downpipe and chip.
