Mugen Si Goes 14.39

Not too bad of a time for his first time -- slicks must have really helped. Too bad the trap is still low.

How much help do you think the intake and header provided (if any)?

Seems the time achieved was purely tire related.

they look like full slicks.. and they are to small for the car.. times are ok , but i think those times could of been ran on the stock wheels n tires.. a 2.2 60" with slicks is really not good.. granted it is his first time at the track, but im sure with slicks i could run those times or better on my Stock 07 Si with slicks...

With Slicks his 60' should have been at least 2.0 or better. then he would have ran a 14 flat or better. Not a great run if you ask me!! Just my opinion

it was the driver's first time so keeping that in mind, 14.39 is not bad at all.

well the slicks actually hurt you because 1 they look like they are maybe 24s which means your gonna have to switch into 5th gear when you should be on 25s at the least and you will stay in 4th gear. another thing is the driver probably only did a first gear burn out which in your head you may think there hott but there no where near what they should be so they did nothing for the launch and the killed your top end. go back to the track with the stock tires(that are better then the regualr si because the rims are lighter and the tires are better) and go at it again and you should trap around 99mph in 4th gear with a 2.260ft.

Impressive time for a basically stock Civic.

I love reading all the hateful replies at Hondatech. That site is full of chode e-thug losers.
