'04 Tiburon GT-V6 vs. '07 FG2

So a kid i know from school and he has a Tiburon GT-V6 automatic with just and exhaust and intake. I only have a Vibrant exhaust. Anyways he keeps on telling me my civic is a piece and that he would smoke me in a race.
I think he is full of sh*t. I am also positive i will be able to beat him.
I just want to know everyone's opinion before we go to a track.

He has 172 hp, but 181lb/ft. for reference.

why would you be scared of a tiburon, and an automatic for that matter?

Plus their times are like 16.9 seconds if I'm correct?

you will paddle him. One of my co-workers in the states has a boosted Tiberoin and he bairly gets my Si.

The only V6 tib you have to be worried about... is a 5spd, with I/H/E and Cams.

At that point, hes running mid 14's.
