my ultimate pick would be the bridgestones but they will cost u more and have less life... if u are going for cost, i would go for the hankook ventus rs2...

it looks like the price on the ventus rs2's went up (153 a tire):
Tire Details - Discount Tire Direct the azenis are priced at 117 a tire Tire Details - Discount Tire Direct and the RE01R's are at 159 a tire Currently Available Prices and Sizes if u dont mind spending more, i would go with the RE01R's. i have had the azenis and the RE01R's are a huge upgrade from them... good luck.

RE-01R's are the most popular at this point, probably having a lot to do with Bridgestone contingency. Some are trying out the new Toyo R1R, but despite the contingency offering there not too many seem happy with the results.
The next possible ST* "tire to have" looks to be the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1. Not a ton of availability at the moment, but all sizes should be available by the end of April. Should be another top tire to consider. As for myself, I went with the Bridestone RE-01R due to their significant support of the sport last year, contingency, and the fact that it's a known quantity at this point. In 245/40/17 though of course. ![]() FYI, a test by Tire Rack The contenders: -> Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R -> Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07 -> BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD -> Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Overall Test Results: Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Ride & Drive Review Individual Test Results: Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Ride & Drive Review ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The Azenis make a fun daily tire, but don't expect an extremely long life out of them. I would say with regular driving with occasional aggressive cornering you could expect roughly 15k miles or so. Just guessing though, mine were only used to autocross, along with driving to said events. But in doing so they lasted me two seasons.
