once again to get a true sense of how fast a car truly is you must take a average across multiple cars and tracks IMO. I am sure you ran exactly what you said you did.....in my mind you gain nothing by telling a lie on a internet car forum.

Now that I hang out around tracks and people w/ superfast cars (420whp STi's for example), I realize that those times w/ perfect drivers doesn't mean much. Sure a GT500 is good for a 12.7 quarter mile, but could I or most of the people on this site do it? Probably not. The driver matters sooo much when it comes to things like quarter miles.

I assure you on the srtforums, which i used to live on, the average stock time was ~14.0 to maybe a 14.2. Then again I have seen a few 15s runs as well from guys dumping the clutch in a car with way to much power. It really is all relative

I never said your slip lies. What I do believe is that the track that you go to and the track that I go to might be slightly off from eachother. I wouldn't rule that out for a second. I might be able to hit 15.0 in your track and you may get a 15.0 in my track. Who knows. I buddy of mine who is a really good driver only hits 14.8 w/ an intake. I don't think that it's a bad time in the least. I'd love to hit that. I don't see how he could improve much to tell you the truth, unless he upgraded his tires. I don't see how any stock Si can hit 14.8.

maybe he has a 'factory freak'?

i doubt a 7-8whp difference would account for .3-.6 second different in the 1/4. (with the same driver)... but then again... i dont know much about racing

I would think you'd hit more than 14.6 w/ that set-up. Have you gotten better than stock tires?

Have you gone to more than one track to verify that you could hit the same time elsewhere. I think that some tracks just make your car seem faster. I can't prove it, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Even so, you said you hit 15.1-15.2 stock. Something doesn't seem right. Is it that much more difficult to launch w/ the extra hp?
