Race him on the track and find out. This is a VERY broad question, too. Does the 1.8 have mods? Stock? We don't have a clue about it.

You should pull a stock 1.8T as we are about even in ET's with the 2.0T's.. Even with an intake, I don't think that's enough to do a whole lot without chip/exhaust/diverter.

Never been in an Si but i have been in 2 03' Gti one had CAi and the other had chip and exahust.
All i can say if quick cars with alot of TQ.

I doono who would win but i am leaning on the GTI

I tend to agree. Why not just race the guy and report back with the results? Even then, if you are a really good driver, it might not be a good comparison. (ex. James Lewis)
