Found a good article over on SCCA regarding money being issued for competitors during the 2008 season.

This has been in place for YEARS.

I've supplemented a few of my race seasons with money I've won from Honda as well as Kumho at National events (both Tours and ProSolo's).

Yeah I knew that just thought some people might be interested in the info for the 2008 season. First year in Solo for me so I've been browsing the SCCA site more. And Mario you should be sharing all that money you've been making for years. I might need some new tires next month

It isn't that much. Hahaha!

However, it can subsidize a race weekend... A second place finish can take care of the hotel, entry fee and gas for the event. Not bad. The big money comes with the ProSolo wins, but I have yet to win a National event.

I thought it was awesome when I won my first pro-solo... first time I ever won $ at an event. I'm used to spending it, not coming home with more than I left with!
