what an idiot. The ground was wet as well... Si's aren't meant to handle turns like that on wet ground you schmuck. think you're in an evo or something?

Fortunately, I haven't been in accident due to reckless street driving (I don't race on the streets), but I do feel sympathetic for him.

I want to share my two cents:

1. Go kart racing (K1 Speed) - This is a really good alternative to release that urge to race. You will go against some very good drivers in a safe environment who will teach you the meaning of "fast".

2. Any track events (search on google for a local track) - If you would rather test the limits of your car and mods in a responsible manner.

Both of the above suggestions are A LOT cheaper than getting speeding tickets, crashing your car, or medical bills.
speaking of k1, i just went 2 days ago darn is it expensive! its a great place to get ur adrenaline up. its a great place to go for anyone wanting a rush without the dangers of doing it on the street :)

ok, now this is getting out of hand. we know we were going to fast alright. and you totally misunderstood when he said he went back there. what are you that dumb that you think that he went as fast as he possibly could around the damn corner... no he just went back so he would not be afraid and feel like he has no damn pride. once again street racing is dumb. you put every one else in danger besides yourself. and the ground was not wet nothing bad happened out of that situation and for that i am glad. do not sit here and flame on him because you never ever make bad decisions... come on get over your self. and for what it was this car handles damn well for stock setting under the conditions that it was put under. any ways we came on here to share the story with you so that any one else that might feel like they want to race just go on a track so they do not hurt for 1 them selves and let alone any one else.

Good thing you guys are both ok, but please even if you get some better suspension don't try this again even if you think the car handles like if it was on rails

Sorry if this seems rude but its just another case of a bad decision resulting in damage. I'm tired of hearing it and it needs to stop.

I wish everyone would stop being dickheads and attempting to race weather its through traffic or not, but only on the street. Track is different.
hello mr. MC GRAMMAR. its WHETHER, not weather. weather is like, you know the weather as in rain or shine?

ok your talking like i went back and hit 70 and tried 2 do it just as fast thats not what i did. i took it slow driving threw it each time a couple of miles per hour faster. each time i got a little quicker and once i heard the tires squealing at 45 i cut back and new how it was at. so yea idk how thats ******* dumb. seeing how i was felling like shit about the whole thing and i was in the mindset of just not even wanting the car anymore and i wanted 2 prove 2 my self that i could do it and that i wasn't just a retard. like i said i had done that turn befor racing one of my friends in her mustang and i beat her ass threw that series of turns and i riped threw it a few times actually i just didn't rember how fast i went and i seen how fast my buddy was going and then i didn't see him as i came around 2 were the turn was so i figure he made it and by the time i reolized he had slid off the road it was to late for me 2 slow down and i did my best 2 maintain contorl of the car and not hit the power box and not hit him. i think i did pretty good and after going back and takeing a good look at were i drove threw i don't know how i didn't damage my car more than i did. and we reolized that i came within inches 2 hitting his car so yea deffinatly had god working on our side the other night.

Doesn't matter how fast or how slow you did it, the main fact is; you went back and did it. If you want to test the limits of your car, do it on a TRACK.

How are you supposed to do cornering at the 1/4?

Okay dude so you made a stupid decision... it happens, you learned from it and now its out of your system. Nobody was hurt, it was only your property damaged, so YOU have to live with it. OMG people it's not like you have to pay for his screw up... Give'em a break...

well actually were i'm located there is nothing of that sort and this place is basically like a race track they were going 2 build a new subdivision and they built all the roads but no one wanted 2 move out there so they never build houses idk why they would build roads frist but what ever they are a lota fun 2 drive on. but yea there isn't even a 1/4 mile around here the closest track is only a 1/8 mile and its a good hour drive. but yea and i'm not going back there anymore to run with my car... i just needed 2 go back there 2 re-afferm my love for the car and driving it. cuz for a wial i was felling like i was just going 2 get it fixed and then sell it and not have a nice car so yea. it cheered me up. and as being in the military i am away from my family for the holidays and i needed something 2 cheer my self up so if u can't understand that then what ever.

i really don't care what anyone has 2 say about it.

also as an update
due to the event that took place the other night i decided 2 move in a different direction w/ my car and my plans for modding it, instead of going for performance i'm going 2 just go for looks. so once its fixed i'll be staring on that.... so stay tuned for pics of a clean looking Si Starting with a new paint job and several layers of clear coat to protect it.
