Remember, a few of us are National level competitors here. We adhere to the ruleset in Stock because we chose to compete there. For a relative newcomer, it should be more about seat time and acclimation to the sport because frankly, learning the courses (which are different each time you autocross) should be your top priorities. In the meantime, hold onto your nicer wheels if that's what you like and just drive. You're gonna get crushed anyway because this is a sport that puts driver talent at anywhere like 85 ~ 90% over car prep anyhow. See, I'm not an internet ogre. Anthony "Mario" Crea NNJR-SCCA |

BIG event for us at Warminster, PA with the Philly Region SCCA. This event is significant for me and my co-driver regarding overall PAX (the class win itself should be easy in HS) for four main reasons... 1. Warminster is the site of the NE Divisional in early July. Many National drivers, like myself, and a fair share of National Champs will be there. Given the number of people there, this event will probably be a precursor to the Divisional itself regarding course design elements and the like. 2. We are running a National Tour at Devens, MA basically a month from now, and many people, myself included, are using this Sunday's event as a warmup because of point #4. 3. We are running a ProSolo in Romulus, NY in mid-July and see #2 for the rest of the significance. 4. All these events are on a mix of concrete/asphalt runway in their respective locations. Getting the car dialed in at one will mean success at the other. There will be at least 200 people at this event and I am hoping (realistically for an HS Civic LX) for a Top 20 in overall PAX. Should I break into the Top 10 I am confident I can probably win one or both of the National events... With a win comes good prize money and that'll put fresh R-compounds (and possibly Konis) on the car in 2008. Frankly, this is big and I'm simply trying to remain focused... Mission accomplished...
RAW TIMES BY CLASS http://www.phillyscca.com/solo2/resu...O050607FIN.HTM *As predicted, me and my co-driver easily took a 1-2 victory in class (HS) but the big deal was PAX (see below) OVERALL PAX STANDINGS http://www.phillyscca.com/solo2/resu...O050607PAX.HTM Anthony "Mario" Crea NNJR-SCCA Last edited by honda93; 05-08-2007 at 07:23 PM. |

Greg, Yeah. He's almost too fast. Sunday's course was consistently faster than any National course I've run in the last three years and yet Savini rivaled many SS and AS drivers on RAW time! Mamma mia! I've never had the honor of riding with him have you? Anthony "Mario" Crea NNJR-SCCA |

To further prepare for the National Tour, ProSolo, and the NE Divisional I may take just three runs at any local event (not 6 or 8 like) until the big events are over. I need to lay down my fast runs early for I fully intend on winning my first National level event(s) this year... Anthony "Mario" Crea NNJR-SCCA |

I actually had to give HIM a ride! At the Peru Tour last year he was getting lost on the Friday practice course and asked me to give him a ride to figure out where to go! Maybe I should'nt have as he gave GS a good rompin that weekend. He gave me a couple of driving tips though and also let me use his good pyrometer so I could get my tires dialed into concrete. Really nice guy and a very quick driver. His day 2 performance last year at Nationals was nothing short of amazing. I think he was close to being unanimous pick for our Pick the Winners last year. Hopefully he can get dialed in both days this year. |

Beautiful day today. Took 3rd in STS, couldn't catch the 98 Prelude or 97 Maxima - was about a second behind.
http://scca-chicago.com/solo/2007/event2_class.html Just signed up for TSSCC's next event at Miller Park, that'll be my first time there - looking foward to it! I need to get more seat time so I can take out that 'lude and maxima next time |

Man, only 0.323 seconds out of 1st, Dang! that was one hell of a course though. 235/40/17 So much better than the 245's (Thank you Sam!!) and the RE-01Rs are quite fun. They were really slippery cause i just got them put on on Saturday, but i can already see their potential.
...kurt check this one out ![]() |
