Autocrossing an auto?

Does anyone autocross with an automatic transission? I've always thought it would be fun to do a little autocrossing, but is it feasible in an automatic? Obviously being competitive in an automatic is not possible, but would it still be fun?

Of corse it would be fun! I went to a racing school, they taught us how to auto-x in a automatic and a manual tranny Mustang. Basicly you just leave the car in 2nd the whole course. Manual is definatly the better tranny to use for auto-xing, but some people do race autos.

I have been auto-Xing for 2 this will be my 3rd year.. You can auto x with a auto you just need to learn to left foot break to keep your engines power up though corners though. Allso trail break around larger sweepers. :) hope that helps you a lil.

Marlboro Racing school...most fun I've ever had in my life! I learned how to drive 3 diffrent types of racecars. A mustang on a auto-x course MT and AUTO, a Van Diemen Formula car, and a 450hp IROC stock car. It all went down at Miami's Homestead Speedway. Everything was paid for by Marlboro, best birthday gift ever!
