RIP: Reminder, keep your racing on the track

A member of our local enthusiasts' forum died in a street race a week ago.

Just a reminder, keep your racing ON THE TRACK.

The drivers, one of the driver's sister (who is a mother of a 2 year old) and our member died. One is in serious condition.

I believe that an Acura RSX and an SRT-4 were racing. The driver of the RSX and 3 people in the SRT-4 died, one is in serious condition.

RIP Tony Nguyen, Your sister Lori Nguyen & Ruben aka Slowgreen2g

Also RIP Adrian Materna

09/29/07 May you all Rest in Peace.

There were 4 people in the car. 3 died 1 survived with serious injuries. The one that survived was Jade

SRT-4's was Jades car "He was driving when they were racing and survived the crash"

Take your street racing to the track not the street...

New Update by: szprycha
I was also there when they raced that nite. i met alot of ppl today and yesterday from all the families. but today i found out from the investigator that the 2 cars did NOT bump each other or anything like that. Adrian (driver of the RSX) was going 130, and ran into that round curb, which ripped his whole suspension , then he skidded with the front, and the front got caught in the bushes/ditch which went his car flipped foward about 20 ft high and 50-60 in long. He mention Adrian had a good chance of survival if he would of wore his seatbelt, but he didnt, so his body was tossed out of the sunroof, which then he landed on those trees. he died instantly ( neck broke ).

Then he added Adrian was in front, so when the driver of the neon seen his hit the curb, thats when he slammed the brakes causing them to lock up.

he showed me the report and all the information, he said they will be available in about 2-3 weeks with all the info.

* when me and my friends arrived to the crash scene of the accident, someone was mumbling, and on the other side my friend was talking to the girl, she was saying help us, help us.... 2 ppl didnt die on impact because the investigator showed me the time of deaths, i know someone died on the way to the hospital, and then one passed away @ 8:30am. im sorry i cant remember the names, theres just too much going thru my head.

also.. he said the surviving driving is going to be charged with 3 counts of 2nd degree murder. said he can go to jail for life. I dont think its fair at all.

Two of those who died:

KEEP YOUR RACING ON THE TRACK!!!!

Please wear safety belts. The driver wasn't wearing one.

That sucks, RIP.

Did the quote say it isn't fair that the guy may go away for life? He was the driver and responsible for his passangers. If he crashed his car and they died guess what IT WAS HIS FAULT!!!! Maybe this will teach him not to street race if he ever is allowed to drive again. RIP to the people who died and my thoughts are with their families.

does it seem weird to anyone that they didn't wear seatbelts? I mean is this normal or somethign that no one wears seat belts? I dont think i've ever riden a car wihtout the seat belt. Thats just me though. When I read it I felt weird because if you even have a dumb head u know that you should wear a seatbelt. just curious

RIP, all it takes is 1 mistake...one time guys. I've already lost 2 friends because of this shit and I had talked to one of these guys a few times as well. Sad to see good people get taken away because of 1 stupid mistake that they couldnt correct...My prayers are with the families and friends...especially that 2 year old

Awful, please be careful out there folks and if you absolutely have to go fast at least make sure you are endangering no one, the best way of course is to hit the track.

These people don't need lectures on how stupid they were to street race and not to wear seat belts. My condolences to them, R.I.P.

If you do engage in a street race... the least you can do is make sure there is no traffic in front or behind you, and you are alone.
