my moroso e/t's
well i went to moroso wednesday night and got a couple runs in...
my best was a 15.2... i could not get traction... ok well i think launching at 4k is out of the question now... it was 72 degrees and i had 3/4 tank of gas with no weight reduction and on stock tire pressure.... Plans for next time: have little amount of gas, remove spare tire and jack, lower tire pressure and launch at a lower RPM... any other suggestions? |

every little bit of wheit savings helps. A rule of thumb is that loosing 100lbs will imprvoe your quater time by .1 second. So loosing all of you crap in the trunk, and running as little gas as nessecary could produce a slightly lower time. But the best way to get the time down is practice, people have been getting into the high 14s on those stock tires. The more you practice the better you will get. Also as Cam said a tire uprade with greatly improve your holeshot which in turn will also give you a lower time. One last thing, if you don't care about tire wear, lowering your psi in the front tires (ONLY FOR THE TRACK NOT ON THT ROADS!!) Wills lightly improve your grip so you may not spin as much. good luck and be sure to post up some times next time you go out!
