I'm not sure if anyone already said this or not, so sorry if I'm making a repost, the Cobolt SS/SC is dead for the 08 Model year, its returning in late 08, with a different Engine, a Direct Injected 2.0L with a 20PSI turbo, and a revised suspention. Its going to push 260HP and 260tq, unfortunatly I think it will make quick work of our car.

![]() Seriously, though.... The Cobalt SS Supercharged was out of production by the time I was ready to buy. Not that it really mattered, I was looking for a sporty daily driver with great resale value and decent gas milage. I also love the sound that the Si makes. I wouldn't have even cross-shopped the Cobalt for those reasons. I really hope the domestic car companies make a comeback, but from my point of view, it's not looking good. There are people like my wife who won't even LOOK at Ford, Chevy and Chrysler. I at least look, but have not seen anything worth test driving.... and the resale... my god. ![]() |

My Cobalt SS will royally spank all of your SI's.
Hee hee hee They're both great cars and the cbaltvscvc debate never seems to find an end.

wow, i can't believe i just read through 179 posts on a topic that i have seen 100 times before
si will win when you go to trade your car in and you get more for your trade. (as long as you don't sit in your car and touch anything inside) si will win in consumer reports reviews (as long as you don't shift your transmission, especially into 3rd gear) cobalt ss will win because it gets the LNF 260hp/260tq later this year ion redline will win because in 10 years, it still won't have any dents or rust to each his own |
