Not fast at all...140hp at the crank i think but dam fast in the twisties. The car comes withTokico struts and stiff springs....Large sway bars and comes with sticky rubber. It really did handle like a go kart.

They were 2001-2002 models i believe then came the boost in 03 for the mazdspeed.

Yes, the Mp3 and Mazdaspeed just like the Miata were built for curves!

gotcha, stock does the mazdaspeed have a front mount intercooler. ill have to check next time im out for a walk. other than that im pretty sure its just a mp3 with an exhaust, ill get around to checking out the car with the owner

if that a mazdaspeed, they are not fast but they are not slow either, i used to know someone who owned an orange one. they are very cheap to mod and the gains are very respectable

I just raced a mazdaspeed last night....beat him by a couple cars. Both of us just had a CAI.

I've raced a Mazdaspeed Protege, he had MBC, and electric cutout and I had I/HFC/E/R. He was boosting around 10psi I think and stock is like 4psi...not sure. From rolls he would pull about a car lenght and from digs I would get him by a car lenght. We didn't have very good races that night so we are probably going to race again some other time but he's boosting like 12psi now.
