i won 1st and 2nd at the redline time attack!!(pic heavy)

well i went to the last redline time attack and got second in street front wheel drive and first in fwd unlimited due to some weather and no one else racing in unlimited lol, figured what hell. i came in second behind gt motorings rsx, which was very fast. they had a s2000 too but were having problems with the rear end but both were very sexy cars , the guys from gt motoring were very cool as well. hung out with them most of the weekend. me and my dad went down and both came back with somthing since he got first in street rwd. i was very happy with the way my car performed, i was crushing all the other cars in fwd and was beating some evos and other cars that cost alot more than mine. but best of all i was embarassing the civics rival, a brand new gti, but i did like the car lol. hers some pics i didnt get that many since me and my dad were racing at the same time most of the time but here ya go.
heres the gold lol

my dads j's racing inspired yellow s2000 that he got rid of this car is actually in the new modified mag from the last redline time attack event pretty big picture too, and redline uses the pic on there website.

si intake manifold

yea thats right he taped the whole car lol

the next one is in Summit Point WV, i hope some of you guys come out and try it, so much funner than drag racing, i think webby should make there website a sticky too cause there trying to make more racing choices than sitting in a line for a half an hour just to gun it for 14 secs, and its not a hassle to just try it like nasa and scca are. dont get me wrong they both can teach you alot but this is alot funner and you dont have to go thru all the garbage just to try it and its cheap. there are car shows, vendors and a great atmosphere. you can take friend out with you, theres instuctors to take out as well and theres no charge. great time hope to see you guys at the next one. hope fully chris from redline will jump in here since he got a fg2 and he runs the time attack and he'll be able to describe it better.

Nice....

Dont forget that the gti is boosted,,,,,,,very much more torque than our si's.

For what our si's have we are practically untouchable, that is key, we are all motor high reving 4cyl fun......

with a lsd thats one thing nice about not having all that torque because you can go full throttle thru the bends and stay in your lines.

You are right about this kind of racing being superior to quarter mile. I don't understand why people even bother with it on this site.. it's a Civic. It's not fast. But it's very fast when you take it on course's or to autox events.
Plus it's a HELL of a lot more fun.

Nice pictures though, I love racing

Oh, and about the GTI.. They have great power, but they don't handle nearly as well as our civics. My brother has one and I love driving it for the turbo, but its a dog around the turns, IMO.

to answer some of your questions i had no brake fade and the kumhos grab good but the tread dont last long. i had motul rbf 600 which works wonderfully do you have the corsport endlinks eugenekim? and i do need the reflash, im shifting so much right now it would be nice to have more revs and a wider power band im gonna get it before summit point.
Also everyone should listen to kurt, since i started racing like this i havent even been to a drag strip and i live 15 miles away from one, i mean c'mon i drove from pittsburgh to st louis for 2 days of racing lol.
and jameslewis just check there website redlinetimeattack.com for the dates, if you want just hit me up with a pm and ill get you spot with us guys under our shops tent, we should have 4 s2000's and 2 si's. your welcome to join us, actually if any guys wanna come try it hit me up. dont think twice about it just try it lol
