Our 03 TL Type-S has 260hp , if the accord is anyhting like it......the si will lose after 60ft. Si gets the jump off the line if the accord is a slushbox ,after that i have to believe the accord would pull.

The 03+ accord v6 had 240 hp, decent tq, and an optional 6spd gearbox (that shifts rather well from what I hear). It's an all around superior car but fanbois will be fanbois.

And you're right, the accord v6 does have terrible 60ft times, but still manages to do really well.

Well I'm just speaking from experience.
Besides we did 2 off the line, and a few more roll-ons.
not a single one he'd take me.

I like how people come to the site and pick the exact thread that is going back and forth, and they have to chime in with 2 incoherent posts and never return.

Well I appreciate your quick judgement. (NOTT)
But I recently got an 07 Si coupe, and now i'm looking for some usefull info.
and obviously after registering, i'm surfing thru forums, looking for some useful information.
my real goal is to find out on how to, and if its possible to remove my governor spedlimiter, and still keep my extended (75k) waranty.
which, i'f I dont come by, I'll ad a thread later.

But for now, make it 3 incoherent posts. k?

And I'm jsut saying based on my little experience with a friend.
I fail to belive numbers because as you may already know, 0-60 times varry aspecialy for the Si.
som mags say its 6.8, some say its as much as 7.2
and some people whitnesed 6.2 and lower.
That is why I put all these numbers to doubt.

I definately agree. I've bested cars that would win on paper. And welcome to the site! Work is slow so I needed something to keep me occupied. I guess it happened to be noob bashing/ranting. I'm not sure about the governor. From what I recall, it is speed limited around ~128 mph when you shift into 6th, and the car just doesn't have enough power to get past that. I'm not sure what the ECU has it set it. I believe the reflash removes it, though.

^The speedlimiter is different for the 06's and 07's. The 06's have a higher limit.

I'd didn't realize the Accord was so fast. Makes you wonder why there isn't more interest in the 6mt coupe. The 6mt coupes seem hard to find. The lots seem to be full of automatics.

The Si should waste it in the turns. correct?

Just want to add to this, lol. If you are trying to ask people the outcome between a Civic SI w/CAI & Exhaust vs. a stock 6MT Accord V6, you might have a chance/driver's race. BUT if you're just trying to compare the two cars side by side, no mods, then of course the winner goes to the Accord. This is why there are car comparisons in mags (eg:2008 Infiniti G37s VS. 2008 BMW 335i). When you guys say it's all about the driver (well no shit), this is if your trying to race, then it doesn't matter how you win). It's kind of like saying my SI has a chance against a Bugatti Veyron. If I raced myself with both cars, go figure which car is faster. On the other hand, if I raced a 16yr. old who just got his liscense, and just learned how to drive a stick, of course I'd take him. Considering the fact the he wouldn't even be able to handle 1001 horses. In the end, be clear when comparing 2 vehicles, wether it be by racing, or just comparing the cars dry. -T

p.s. you're trying to race, so that's where "driver's race" comes into play. goodluck!

If it was an 02 or older then that makes perfect sense. The 03's got a sizeable power bump, not to mention a nicer body style.

My Si honestly scares me....im afraid to really punch it.... hence i could never determine my Si's potential.
