Cmooon now, we all know that the blown Stang was the winner before any of us opened this thread. Hijack away! And I know what you mean. I'm the same way about the Stang (even though it wasn't nearly as fast), but it was hella clean and I just love the 4.6 exhaust note. Makes me sad everytime I see one Lets see some 4g63!

Man, that thing is fuggin MEAN looking on that 3rd pic. Hella clean car man, looks great. Love the new rims Mitsu put on them compared to the EVO VIII

EDIT: I SPY A BLACK PONY IN YOUR GALLERY!!! WOOOOT!! Not a good angle though lol.

NINJAEDIT: NM there's another picture that is much nicer... I will now post edits in one big edit once I'm done. MAN I WANT THAT PONY BACK

FINALEDIT: Man, nice group you got there. Must be some nice competition with an MKIV, an FD, the 4.6 hairdryer and the other EVO. Jealousy is me.

First time stock motor 11psi BOOM it lasted like 1600miles and then the second time it was on 15psi built 2valve and it lasted a year or so then threw a rod so now he is going built 4valve and roots style

Funny thing is he blew his motor racing me.

Oh Rly?

Buddy i used to race these things for 2 years almost every night in my 97 Trans Am. I had a factory freak truely (i know you think i'm probably BS but i would beat 97 WS6's by 2 cars, and they had 20 more HP and were not autos FYI and a G-Tech put me low 5's 0-60) With just a muffler i was hanging w/ LS1's and only losing to WS6's and SS's by about 2-3 cars. I ran a supercharged cobra, he took me by like 3 cars. Needless to say he made me pull over and pop my hood cause he thought he was gonna destroy me lol, he just couldn't believe it.

And that was before i dropped a 4.10 in it

So no, they do not run 12.3 stock unless i was running 12.8 lol.

Oh amazing magazine racer, I bow to your superior knowledge

How about you find where I said that ALL '03 Cobra's ran 12.3's every single time, and then get back to me? Obviously, anything can happen on the street, and an LS1 F-body (or even an LT1 F-body) may win against one on occasion, but the Cobra is the significantly faster vehicle, all else being equal. My friend's bone stock '03 Cobra went 12.9@113mph w/ a 2.2 60'. There is tons of room in that 60', and a 113mph trap... don't even need to get into that.

Beleive what you want based on a few street races, but the Cobra is the faster car, stock vs. stock, and everyone who has actually looked at the FACTS knows it.

Well i can understand a 12.9. I kinda thought 13.4's were typical times but looking twice (my bad lol) it seems to be more of a 13.0 car. 12.3 mustang probably came out of the factory faster than a typical one.

I mean you can say the stock Si's have gone 14.2, this is a true statement. But its kinda pointless to give freak #'s. And the SS runs what mid-low 13's? Not far away from the cobra w/ 70 less HP so no it wouldn't' take a side of a mountain to catch it.

Yeah, I get what you're saying, for sure. A decent driver in a stock '03 Cobra is going to run high 12's, and the SS is going to run low 13's or so. The differential would be greater, as well, if the Cobra wasn't so difficult to launch. The guys that can't figure it out run high 12's/ low 13's, and the guys who do are the ones who run the mid-12's. The mountainside was definitely an exaggeration My point was just to disagree with the suggestion that the SS was faster, stock. It most certainly is not, but that's nothing against the LS1 Fbody. It's a great car, just not as fast, stock for stock, as a Terminator.

Wasn't there something that made the 03 cobra stand out? I remember someone saying to me once "The only kind of mustang that I would own would be an 03 cobra. Not 02, or 04, but an 03. Those are badass."

Plus, I've seen one that was built and that thing was quick as hell..

Well, '03 and '04 Cobras are virtually identical, but yeah, they are factory supercharged, and they are greatly underrated @ 390hp, stock.

Like I said before, my friend's '03 made 371whp, stock, and trapped 113mph. That's dang fast for a $34k car (MSRP). Oh, and it's super cheap to make more power. Spend a few hundred on a ported blower, throw on a couple bolt-ons, smaller pulley, and a tune, and you're @ 500whp+.
