Anyone worried about drag slicks and axle's?

Has anyone given much thought to the idea of their axle's snapping from using drag slicks? I mean it's not like our car has so much torque that it can just sit there and spin them with ease when burning out.

If you start a race with a bunch of wheel hop and don't let off, you can expect to someday break a half shaft.... However, if you respond to how your car responds, you will have a much less chance of breaking. I have watched numerous boosted D series EG hatches run in the 11's with stock axles.

I have done ~30 runs down the dragstrip with my hoosiers and haven't had any issues whatsoever.

You should also be concerned about your clutch as well.
