Arrow Going to the drags tonight.

Me and my buddy are going out tonight to a strip here in AZ its hot out so im not expecting the greatest times either, also this is my first time EVER going to a track and my TW Si Sedan is completely stock. I'm going to be running stock tires and everything also there not summers either, im going to try launching at 2.5k-3k and see how it works. What im going against is his 2005 Acura TL 3.2 auto tran but has the triptronic in it, who do you think will win?

A "track" called Dysart Road :]

And I lost also.. I missed 3rd with a small grind also, but I do think his 3.2 V6 with 280hp is faster stock vs stock. He only had about 1-1.5 cars on me, I was expecting worse.. So now I'm thinking about some boost FTW!

BUT, I purchased my car from Arrowhead Honda two Thursdays ago and got an extended warranty to cover me till 7years/100k and if I boost, don't ALL warranty become null and void or just power train?

If you didn't goto the track, why were you talking about times? Methinks it's a streetracing coverup thread! Anyways, TL should probably win so good loss.

Well technically not making excuses.. Dysart road used to be used for a track all the time. THEN boom housing market exploded and its more suburbanized out here now but we were still at least 6 miles from ANY civilization.

I was more interested in your track times if you went to the track. Not many AZ Si's visiting them...or pulling off good times for that matter.

Did the exact same.. A Cobalt SS owner congratulated me for breaking into the 15's and said the only other Si he had seen was 16.x + all night. AZ sucks for drags. 300whp Cobalt couldn't break 14's.

Kurt, reason I posted that was because I'm new to Honda/Acura scene and cars so I just realized that when he opened his hood it said VTECH on his also so yeah news to me, do ALL Honda/Acura cars have VTECH I wouldn't think the Ridgeline, or CR-V types do..

VTEC, but yes most current Hondas have a form of it, whether it be for performance or gas savings.
