15.006 w/ IE
Went to gateway raceway right by St. Louis. I got 2 runs in, first time drag racing in 2 years. Need a little help figuring out how to get into mid 14's on this one guys. There's no excuse for me running a flat 15 when I have an Injen CAI and a Vibrant Exhaust w/ Short Shift Adapter.
I suspect I was letting out the clutch too fast, but that's all I can gather. 2nd run was with power shifting as well. Also, spare tire in the trunk, and subwoofers in the trunk (good for 100 lbs?). BTW they're all-season tires. I'll take them out next time. 1st run at 32psi, trying to feather, may have dropped out of anxiety. 2nd run at 26psi, trying to feather, may have dropped out of anxiety. Thanks for the autopsy. |

i just ran a 14.90 last week.
Mod's: injen CAI, skunk2 70mm, OEM all seasons this is how i did it. 85 degrees when i ran, high humidity took out the spare, jack, and my subs. stock tire pressue all around not burn out in the box! 3000 rmp launch, let it out sorta quick. little bit of wheel hop I power shifed into 3rd and 4th only. |
