You should be happy you were even ahead at some point. I love to see how our si's have so much potential. I would say get a header next.

Tell him he can't shift out of first, then get a new car.

Your comparing apples and oranges. A 300hp AWD sport tuned car vs a sub 200hp FWD econo car....

Sorry...

Incorrect... one of the models is AWD

Since the OP didn't specify I'm left to assume that it COULD be an option.

Yup, one of the models is AWD, but none of them are 300hp. And the weight difference is obviously in the Si's favor. Not that the Si would win anyway, but still.

The G35 will walk away every time, unless you get some more mods done. Then you might have a chance. Was it a coupe or sedan? 5AT or 6MT? I own a modified G35 and will soon own an Si. Both are fantastic cars. The new 2007 G35 sedan can do 0-60 in 5.2 secs, and the quarter mile in 13.9 secs at 103 MPH.

Well, the 2005-2006 G35 coupe and sedan had 298 HP. The new 2007 G35 sedan has 306 HP. And the upcoming G37 coupe will have 330 HP.

I'm an Ex Honda owner now with a 06 G35 Sedan. Reading through those G35 vs Si threads are ridiculous. People for some reason think the g35 Coupe is a much faster car than the Sedan when in reality the Sedan only weights 38 pounds more than the coupe and runs .1 second or so slower than the coupe. I destroy Si's who try me in my G. I think some of you are racing people who do not even know you're racing them.
