saw this in the comments:

yea I kinda laughed when I saw the all jap car run a 13.9, but they were on street tires, and idk I dont think the guy was a good driver. You can tell their car has more potential, look at their mph, they aren't getting traction. These runs were with AEM cai, dc race header, dc exhaust, hondata reflash, and semi slicks. The car could have done better then that, but the clutch was pretty worn, and the tires are very stiff, they are a road race tire. So the car is definetly capable of more.

I remember seeing a video last year of a silver Si running 13's but I can't remember where I saw it and have no idea's what the mods were. I know I didn't hear a turbo. He launched the same way as that guy, bouncing it off the rev limiter.

06blueSi is a member on here and he went 13.8 @ 101 on street tires. i believe he holds the best time for all motor Si's 13.8@101 ALL MOTOR

I don't think he was redlining... it would have been MUCH louder and higher pitched if he was redlining at 8k...

He was bouncing it off the 5k launch limiter. The Si won't rev over 5k if it isn't in gear.

ohh oops.. how do you do it when you wanna bounc it off the 5k limiter..
do u depress the clutch, let it bounce then drop it in gear and clutch out?

if you hold the gas down and you are sitting still or under 5mph then you cant rev over 5500 rpm

One of the comments says that he has the Hondata reflash. If thats true, then he can rev to redline when stopped.

thats not true, theres still a 5500 rpm rev limit while standing still.

the car is capable of low 14s stock. If only you guys would learn how to drive your cars then you guys wouldnt have to be so amazed at the times that some people are clocking. Remember the key is to powershift. Some people just refuse to powershift thats why they clock high 14s.remember we all have drive by wire.

Thanks. I was just about to type this. I also don't understand how powershifting could hurt my car. I'm not grinding or anything, just a VERY fast shift. +rep

Powershifting is horrible for both your clutch and tranny. Next time you change your MTF, why don't you just throw some nuts and bolts in there, same damn thing.
