auto r18 vs 99 si

so i raced some random 99 si today. we were rolling at around 5-7 and it was even. i started to take the lead when he shifted then he pulled on me ever so slowly after 2nd. but not even 1/2 a car lenght after 3rd then i turned off to go home. so it was pretty even. then like 2 weeks ago i raced one rollin at 45 and i pulled on him pretty far till his vtec kicked in then it was even.

im dissapointed since im stock he has a fart can and intake. i asked my friend who is a honda freak(he owns a 98 civic coupe jdm b16 swap). he said the reason i could keep up with him pretty well is because i have 120 tq. and new usdm b16 had 102 tq. and in the years it prob went down under 100. but since he had 160 hp he could pull harder when vtec kicked in. but he said when intake and cat back i could take him.

when i get my parts next month i will ask my cousin(99 si) to race and i'll post a video
