99 Mustang GT vs Civic Si
So today while i was sitting in traffic waiting to turn left, this Mustang GT waiting in the lane next to me to go straight starts revving the crap out of his engine
I didnt even bother to rev back or anything. Then the light turned green and i made my turn. So i was wondering...IF i did race him...how close do you think it would've been?? My Si is bone stock. |

the new ones, he would walk you bad if he knows how to drive it the models before that i'm sure you will still get walked but just not as bad as the newer models models before that you should beat them varies on drivers and their mods i guess |

Mustans are Too sloppy

I test drove a 2007 mustang gt california special. It honestly felt like a bucket. It was a 5 speed with 300hp at the crank. I'm sure it has to be fast but I wouldn't want to be in one at high speeds. I drove it hard for a minute but compared to si was just not fun. In the GT I slowed down at 75 mph because of a concern for safety. In the si I slow down at speeds well above that only to avoid speeding tickets. |

Thats some low HP...Mustang dyno? Most 5 spd GT's 99-04 are putting down about 220 to the wheels. FWIW, I felt fine going from 60 to 140 mph in my Stang against my friends s2k. Probably not as comfortable as I would be in my Civic, just cause it's new. The Stang was far from scaring me though. That was with circa 60k miles on it. It did have its rattles though

In my 2003 GT I had CAI, bumped timing, 4.10 gears, exhaust and drag radials.
These are my best times. They were run on different days, so it wasnt just me getting lucky. If the GT driver can drive (Which most cant, which is why most of the guys with my same mods run low 14s) then you are smoked. If he cant drive for crap it will be close. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
