It's when VTEC kicks in around 6k and above. I wouldn't call it a loss in HP
at all. My baby just screams "Halleluja" and zooms on

Also just to mention that if you are totally stock DO NOT get the Hondadata reflash because you will actually loose power.
The Reflash will only work if you have a minimum of an intake and Exhaust system. They actually recommend Raceheader etc. but I am sure you will get something out of it if you have at least a Cai and a Cat Back.

Maybe because it's not ripping anymore. No more VTEC shock kinda like those new transmissions without shift shock They would probably have to dub in the sound effects

I've had my reflash for close to 4 months now and only have CAI and when I cross @ 4500 that $hit is LOUD as HELL untill 8600. It wasn't always loud with the reflash, I guess after a month or two of adaptation it sounds so good, much louder than stock

Or maybe your airfilter fell off and your are sucking in Unfiltered air..
That would make it louder...

The wait is what makes me hesitant too. Also, Im going FI next winter and wouldnt it be pointless to get if you go turbo or s/c?

What is going to be hot is when that Skunk 2 composite high flow IM comes out! Even more air freed up probably making the reflash even more potent.

What would be even Hotter is if they would come out with a Plug in Type Tuner that you can adjust certain settings yourself.

Hondata did a VERY good job at making the power and vtec engagement VERY smooth. The crossover is pretty much gone, and the vtec engagement isn't really noticeable....at all. That exact point is why I am writing this. After I had installed the DCRH and catback, along with the AEM CAI, the vtec engagement was very noticeable and I think most honda fans would enjoy the feeling/sound at 5600. The calm buuuuuuuurrrrr to rrrRRRAAAAPPPPPPPP is something anybody can get addicted too! But with Hondata, that is all gone. The car is very noticeable faster, and pulls so strong all the way through the power band, but I think someone that isn't looking for a bunch of speed, may have more fun with bolt ons without the reflash. That is my personal feeling/experience. I am shooting to be in the elite for 1/4 mile times, so this reflash is very necessary and gladly accepted, however if I was 16-18 I would probably regret getting the reflash...

There's my $.02
so did you get the 13's dawg?

No, 14.11, 14.13, 14.17 and a handful of 14.2 times, but never a 13.999999. With the hondata reflash, I will get that number with ease. I will make sure that the first drag day my shop hosts (May 12th), I have the video camera in car and the gf taping as well.

That's not new. It's just CVT. My moms 1997 HX Civic has the CVT transmission!

So I guess with the Hondata Reflash you have to say bye bye to wareanty?
