06 Si (6/mt) vs 05 Maxima SE (5/at)
Say A friend of mine wants to race me at a 1/4 mile track.
I weigh 153 lbs and he weighs 230. The Si in question weighs 3041 lbs with driver. (me) the Maxima weighs 3703 lbs with driver. (him) The Si has a AEM CAI and a "fart can" The Maxima is all stock, making 265 HP @ 5,800 RPM. On paper, Who wins, assuming Reaction time is the same. |

The Si has more HP per pound and has a close-ratio tranny...also weighs less, so is easier to get moving from a standstill. The Maxima is probably geared tall in 4th & 5th...no good for the 1/4 mile.
I'll vote on the Si taking the race, if driving skill and reaction times are equal. |

These questions get asked over and over and over and then over again on here. Race and find out! Most on here seem like if they don't think they can beat the other car 110% for sure then they don't want to race. I think it would be more interesting to hear that you raced a what ever and won or lost by however much. But then again what ever.

I lost to an Altima with a V6. It sounded like he had and intake and i was stock. I smoked Him off the line and was ahead until third where he reeled me in and passed me. A Maxima is a "sportier" verson of the altima so you might get beat. I was shocked that the altima beat me. Car and driver has a 03 Altima 3.5SE MT at 5.9 to 60 and 14.6 in the quarter so just don't get your hopes up. Good luck, kick his ace seabass if you can.
