well according to the link you gave, it could be close with a good driver in the Si for a 1/4 (14.5)

Stock Civic Si vs. a Stock Mazda RX-8 right?

I've never seen a stock Si do a 14.5 1/4 mile run at all on here...

No way that race would be close. The RX-8 would be atleast 3 car lenghts ahead.

i don't agree with you, that would be a drivers race. and for the record some guy got a 14.2 stock...

the Si will only ever beat out an RX 8 in an endurance. simply the fact that RX 8 chugs oil, after 1k miles... have at it, see how long it'll last, without oil.

one more question, how about TC VS RX8 (both stock and AUTO)

bc one of my friend just got the auto tC and he wants to race an auto rx8 too, who will win? i say tC, what do you say?

^^^ Your friend's TC will get smoked. Our Si's are faster than a TC. The SI and RX8 are pretty well matched. The TC doesnt stand a chance

lol yeah i knew si will smoke tc anytime anyday, even supracharge... lol, but i mean auto tc vs auto rx8....

Unless the guy driving the RX-8 is retarded and has a clubbed foot, there is no way the Si would win if both driver's were equally experienced...

The RX-8 is pushing more HP and torque. And im sure the 1/4 time is underrated for the RX-8 just like the Si is on official spec's.

It seem's like any race for you Si guy's is a driver's race with any car....

And the Auto RX-8 is a different story... But what does my opinion matter, just tell your friend to go and race one and find out.

yeah i told him 1st day he got the car (3weeks ago), but now still 450 miles............

Actually almost eveything i have seen has stated just the opposite with the RX-8 being OVERRATED.

Not just with the Si, but any car in general. Unless there is a huge power difference ALL races with M/T are driver's races. Shift points, launching, mis-shifts all play a huge roll.

Yeah, yeah, we all heard about that Si doing 14.2.... I'm not calling whoever that was a liar, but I'll believe it when I see it on video or in person... timeslips don't really count. I think 14.6 14.7 is possible, but 14.2.... let's see it.
