Aston Martin Passing Civic Si at VIR
This is some video from lapping with chinmotorsports at VIR. This beautiful Aston Martin was on the track at the same time as me, and pass me.
Too bad my stock Si couldn't keep up!Last edited by matchu865; 12-08-2011 at 01:46 PM. Reason: Youtube player |

I don't have any suspension mods because I probably won't be tracking the car more then once more. (Dad might get an M3 or Z06!)
I don't have any engine mods because I think the amount of $/hp is way to high for me to see it worthwhile; I'll just buy a faster car in the future. Don't get me started on brakes though..... I've gotta figure out how to get those the way I want them before my next track event. I'm planning on taking the dust shields off and adding some brake ducting. Hopefully that will solve the overheating brake problems. |

It looks like you gained a little back with his early braking going into the Carousel. Isn't it nerve wracking going over that blind crest of a hill for the first time at speed? I was lifting in my ITR when I did full course at Expo 8 a few years ago.
Thanks for sharing. |

It was taken Dec 3, 2011. I went with a group called ChinMotorSports. It was a really nice event and went really smoothly. I really loved the course. Compared to RA it had a little less elevation change, but it seemed a little bit harder to get down. I'd put it ahead of RA.

Did you experience fade with the pad? Or was it pedal getting mushy from overheated fluid? Going to Super Blue dot 4 and buying some stainless lines would be a massive brake upgrade. You may have that planned already. Thanks for the info on those pads. Hawk hp plus didnt fair any better at Mid-Ohio. I plan to go higher up in Hawks temp range this spring, dtc-30 seems to be the anwer I get when asking others at the track.
