Drag Racing wheel selection

Ok so here's my problem... I would like to buy a pair of wheels to drag race with since I don't want to change the Azenis on my Volk's to slap on some BFG Drag radials. As far as I know 16's won't work with the Wilwood BBK so I guess I need some 17" wheels.

What lightweight wheels can I use for this sole purpose? Should I combine them with the BFG Drag radials or full slicks (I've had great experience with the BFG before)? What size wheels & tires would you recommend?

You can run 15" Team Dynamics with stock brakes. Don't know with your setup.

I'm running acura rsx 16 inch base wheel, there only 16 lbs and I got two for 100.00
Then buy some 225/50/16 hoosier drag radials and your done. The bfg' don't hook
for ****, if you want a 1.8 or 1.9 60ft you will need a slick or the hoosier dr that I just
got.

I'd get slicks instead, because drag radials break stuff, whereas slicks are like rubber bands.

Are you running a BBK with those wheels? I'm not sure the 16" will fit my Wilwood set up. If those RSX base wheels do fit that would be the cheapest option for sure.

noob question but how do drs break stuff and slicks dont youd think the slick would hook harder and break axels?
