My 06 Si VS Audi TT 225HP with Chip

I've been around this forum for few months and I'm finally posting my own thread.

Since my SI is almost 2k on the clock. I'm ready to see the performance side of this car.

My friend has Audi TT 225HP roadster with REVO chip and intake. He said that only with chip on his 225 TT = 265 HP and 280 ft/lb at the crank.

But I know that they are heavy cars,

How are they compare to 06 SI stock or few bolt ons (CAI, Cat-back, race header)?

Drivers race with bolt-ons on SI or stock?

I think I'm getting some bolt-on for my Chistmas from My GF and my family.

Hopefully get some CAI/E/RH.

i thought all the TT ones were AWD if so, its like racing a modded EVO8 or WRX STi with mods.

FWD and lightweight doesn't match up AWD Turbo and intercooled

Yeah, He told me it's AWD. 6 Speed Manual Trans.

dude i had a audi a4 1.8t with a chip, front stage intercooler, and the firmware.. it hit 242 on the dyno.. it was garbage still!!! audi is wack.. the s class is the only gansta car they make...the audi tt is wack as well.. i think its a complete driver race...

If its the small engine (one exhaust) an Si could prob take it...if its the bigger exhaust (like you said)(two exhausts) Si really doesnt really doesnt have a chance...plus his is modded a little so im saying hell beat you but he mite not be able to put many cars on ya...you never know...let us know wen it all goes down n tell us the outcome

Thank you guys for all the input!

I just got off the phone with my friend, asked about his TT specs.
He told me that His car is 1.8T and he also told me that his 1.8T is different than A4 or Golf 1.8T. He said he car comes with KO4 turbo and 2 side mount intercoolers from the factory. He also told me that regular typical 1.8T comes with smaller KO3 turbo and only one side mount intercooler.

I don't know about Audi, and I have no idea about KO3 and KO4s but he told me KO4 is bigger? turbo?

Anyways, Hopefully we can get it done this weekend. I guess I have no chance STOCK but!

My question is: Do I have any chance with I/E/RH and reflash?

if its revo stage 1 then itll walk a stock si. if its revo stage 2 then he will slaughter you. no question about it! VW's and audi's are tunes so conservative from the factory that they make incredible power from the revo tunes!

I/RH/E and reflash would be a good match with the set-up the audi guy is running.

I agree...those cars respond very well to ECU reflashes. Turbo's die out on top end. But yes, the K04 is an upgrade from the K03. Just a tad bigger. Still baby turbo's though.

If he had that in his car then I don't see him having much of a problem honestly in this matchup.....

The TT will definately take you. I have an SI, and my mother has an '04 TT Quattro with 225hp. I have driven both many times, and can tell you that the TT is quicker.

Result is IN!!

Saturday.

It was pretty bad.
Both from the roll and dig, TT came out first, dang AWD.
Those TT with dual exhaust (225hp) is pretty darn fast, if they are chiped, they are faster. I heard that single exhaust TT which is 180HP are not.
He walked on me and I had no chance what so ever. Highway run too. I was really hoping to do good on highway since I heard that our K engines are built for high speed but no match for turbo.

Once again, I have no idea about KO4 turbo, but his turbo was loud.

Anyways, thanks for the inputs guys!!

I hope that I can get some mods for this Christmas and run him again with some bolt ons. I will post the updates when it happens.
