They respond well to aftermarket reprograms, and will turn into a 98-100mph car with next to nothing done. They're definitely strong cars and the 1.8t motor will take a lot of power/abuse before it gives out. I like the TT more and more as I read about it and the aftermarket options for those 1.8t motors.
The K03 and K04's are pretty loud turbochargers from the factory that spool practically at idle. They make incredible boost at next to no RPM's because they're so small. A friends GTI hatchback will make 25psi of boost at just under 3000RPM! His car just has a 3" downpipe and chip and consistantly runs high 13's right at 99-100mph. |
