Those numbers are crazy, 15.5 in the 1/4 mile, there are tons of people here who have slips that can argue that.

Wow....15.5?1?!?!?!? I am .9 seconds faster than that, but then again these tests were in Cali so I don't know about the weather. I hate how we never get told the specific track conditions.

they mentioned one of the cars was done with all season tires... maybe they all were which would explain mediocre handling and slow times. nice find though, those are all the cars i was considering buying, plus the EVO. of course, at the time, i was hoping a mazda3 would be coming out, and that it would be 4 wheel drive

dude those have to be the crappiest drivers ever! How the hell did the cobalt handle better than the cooperS?!? How was it possible for them to run a crappy 15.2! The 60 foot mustve been damn near a 2.5! Theres enough proof on this forum that the SI can do waaaaay better than a 15.3. And the MS3, IMO, is garbage, I raced one and I drove one. There first 2 gears are soooooooo slow its sickening. Looks like a biased article if you ask me. I wont deny mazdas acclaimed suspension, but the interior of that car is sooo boring! Almost as bad as an srt4 interior.

I agree about the interior, particularly the guages. It's absolutely disgusting in the way that it feels cheap. I run the risk of sounding like a fanboy, but last night I was thinking about how once you become accustomed to the high quality interior of Hondas, everything else in the same price range feels cheap.

Cool down turbo. VW and Mini have never been "trash" Mini is world known for its amazing handling and VW has always been known for their reliablity. You're right in the sense that the MS3 is 6 grand more than the Si and the clearly stated that the Si was the cheapest car there. I don't know if the Si is "modern marvel of engineering" but it is nice. And you just said that the WRX TR is trash? Please... The WRX should have been voted #1 in my books for the awd turbo.
