Undercover cops bust street racing 2006 Si

http://mfile.akamai.com/12929/wmv/vo...55862.300k.asx

About halfway through, you'll notice some guy with an extremely long name describe his car. A 2006 Si with a K20 with all JDM engine, intake and everything. Raises the hood for 5 seconds then closes it. It's guys like this make the rest of us look dumb by association.

I feel NO pity for the street racers whatsoever. Good job on the police department's behalf. Those street racers got "owned".

There are plenty of race tracks in that part of the country... Both road courses, drag strips, and autocross lots run through the SCCA.

I honestly hope the girl who flipped her Neon at the end of the video learned something from all this (assuming she can still think) and is willing to speak out against street racing. If not, Darwin will come-a-knockin' again for her soon, hopefully without taking anyone innocent out with her.

i think its cool that all these racers got caught. But, for me, its like smoking.
its so addicticting to go fast. i want to stop but just cant instantly stop. Im not the person to drive around looking for the local races, but i know i speed too much. I think it could be that my rents dont let me race in autocross. darn me and my addiction for speed and adrenaline.

my parents dont even what me going to a drag strip because my dad had a couple bad experiences when he used to race his porsche back in the day. They think I might crash into a wall or something.

I second that........

On the topic of street racing, yeah, it gets dangerous, but I think there has always been this breed of racing ever since the beginning of cars. I don't think its anything new, and if you try to blame the fast and furious crowd, I think the older "chicken" playing baby boomers were just as guilty.

thats what i said on some other thread, racings been around for many many years back to the old school hot rods. So nothings new there but i think street racing is something that will never go away regardless of rasing the stakes such as higher penalties ,confiscating your rides, etc...
I know in my town we have shit for any sort of solution, and i think
youll remove a big portion of actual street racing by adding a dragstrip that requires for you to sign a waiver, a Fee for the track and of course something
like ST. Johns Ambulance at the tracks.

just 1 idea, although im aware that racing wont solve it, but perhaps remove a larger sum OFF the streets.?

We wouldnt have a street racing problems if there were more drag strips around, or if the prices just to race wasnt so darn high.

I appreciate what the police do and everything but they do ruin a lot of our fun.

STREET RACES 4 LIFE! That dood was stupid though. Trying to say he had some good sh*t, when he didn't have anything. Thats why he closed the hood so dayam fast. Plus, what idiot talks to a news reporter about street racing, he's just asking to get popped. I'll street race anywhere, don't care what any of you say because your street racing hater comments have no effect on me. When you have enough balls to go 110mph local, going through cars then come talk to me. Laws were made to be broken, BY ME!
